Julian Lennon wrote that his mother had died “after a short but fierce battle with cancer”

In his home in Spain, 76, died of John Lennon’s first wife Cynthia.

According to its website, the son of John and Cynthia rock musician Julian Lennon, his mother died “after a short but fierce battle with cancer”.

It also states: “Her son Julian was at her bedside until the last minute. All relatives are grateful to you for your prayers”.

Julian also posted on Twitter a heart framed photo of Cynthia with the inscription “fond memory” and posted on the Internet dedicated to mother a new song.

Cynthia met a young John in Liverpool Art College, where they were some time studying together. They were married before the start of Beatlemania in August 1962, and in 1963 gave birth to a son, Julian Cynthia and at the discretion of the producers of “The Beatles”, was forced to stay in the background so as not to scare the crowd of fans of the Fab Four.

John and Cynthia met at the Liverpool College of Art

John and Cynthia divorced in November 1968 after Cynthia found out about the affair with the husband of the Japanese avant-garde artist, Yoko Ono.

Cynthia has written two books about living with Lennon in 1978 left memoirs “Whimsy Lennon” (A Twist of Lennon), and in 2005 published its more candid memoirs entitled simply “John”.

Former Beatle Ringo Starr wrote on Twitter: “Peace and Julian Lennon love! Bless Cynthia, with love, Ringo and Barbara “.
