But other than that he was a friend to us, he was a friend of the Russian culture, the whole Russian literature. He was one of the most enlightened people. Born in exile, he remained in the Russian soul. Still, most of the emigration grows into the life of the countries in which they lived, studied in schools and universities.
He was also a university professor, and he had many disciples, but he carried all his life wearing this Russian, which, in turn, supported his head and gave his life meaning. This burden has been very, very difficult. He was a permanent editor of the journal “Bulletin of Russian Christian Movement”.
In this magazine were printed such pearls of Russian literature and thought that today would be good to collect a separate anthology. He was co-director and then director of the publishing house “YMCA-PRESS” – is the oldest Russian emigre publishing house in France. “Portfolio” of what they published, simply amazing!
