Baywatch return – BBC

The most popular in the history of TV series “Baywatch” will be the basis for a Hollywood comedy.

Paramount Pictures, will remove a feature film based on the cult in 90th during the show “Baywatch.” The director of the project could be Seth Gordon (“Horrible Bosses,” “Identity Thief”), which is now actively negotiating, according to the American magazine Variety.

It is already known that the main role in the movie performed by Dwayne Johnson, known for his published this year, the film “San Andreas Fault”. We are working on a film on “Baywatch.”

It is possible that Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff will also participate in the project and for them to write the role specifically.

Johnson Production Studio Seven Bucks Productions is also involved in the creation of the painting.

Details of the plot is still unknown, but sources close to the project said that the studio wants to make a film in the first comedy.

Filming will begin in early 2016, but the picture will hire next summer.

The idea to make a film based on the series “Baywatch” was discussed in 2004. Then the rights film version of the series had the studio DreamWorks, and in 2009 they bought the Paramount Pictures. First, the project had to work screenwriter “We – the Millers ‘and’ Hot Tub Time Machine” Sean Anders and John Morris, but then the leadership of the studio changed its decision.

The series “Baywatch” was released in 1989 on the American channel NBC. Due to low ratings it was closed after the first season, but the producers managed to get him back on the screens, and soon became one of the series most popular and successful. In the tenth season of the action moved to Hawaii and the show was called “The rescuers Hawaii” (Baywatsh Hawaii). “Baywatch” entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the most viewed TV show of all time: it looked more than 1.1 billion viewers.
