Salekhard, July 16, 2015, 19:28 – REGNUM In Salekhard, archaeologists uncovered bark cocoon of human remains found in the end of June on the excavation of a medieval burial Green Yar. Inside was the mummy of a teenage boy, reports July 16 correspondent IA REGNUM .

As reported previously IA REGNUM , archaeologists have unearthed an ancient burial Priuralsky district of Yamal. A group of scientists conducting field work on the basis of the archaeological complex of Green Yar discovered perfectly preserved bark cocoon in which, apparently, is the mummy of a man. Date of disposal – roughly XIII century AD.

According to “News-Yamal”, the first assumption that the child is in a cocoon of adolescence confirmed. Then check the metal detector showed that in the cocoon contains a significant amount of metal products. As expected, in birchbark shroud has a copper plate. A copper has antibacterial properties.
