Winners of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition Tchaikovsky – Lenta.ru

In Moscow ended with the awarding ceremony of the competition the world’s largest classical music. The jury determined the best three performers in the instrument (piano, violin, cello) and two vocal (male and female solo singing) categories. For each instrumental category awarded six prizes, also provides for the award of four singers.

In addition, the competition is awarded the Grand Prix at -100 thousand dollars. The main prize is awarded to one of the holders of first prizes in any specialty. This amount is added to the first award, which amounts to 30 thousand dollars.

The first prize in “The Piano” took Russian Dmitry Masleev. The best in the category of “Cello” was named Romanian musician Andrei Ionita. The best solo singer was recognized Matochkina Julia from Russia, and singer – Ganbaatar Ariunbataar Mongolia. First prize in the category “Violin” was not awarded. Second place went to musician Taiwanese Tseng Yu-Chen.

The International Tchaikovsky Competition Tchaikovsky conducted once every four years. During its 57-year history of the competition open to the world artists such as Mikhail Pletnev, Victor Tretyakov and Paata Burchuladze. The first competition was held in 1958.

XV International Tchaikovsky Competition Tchaikovsky dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of Russian composer, was held from June 15, 2015 in Moscow and St. Petersburg at the Moscow State Conservatory, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. DD Shostakovich and the Mariinsky Theatre. 2 and 3 July will be a gala concert of the winners of the contest. At the same time it will be declared the winner of the Grand Prix.
