The Polish authorities accuse the Russians that he illegally owned the painting “Girl with a Dove” brush Antoine Peng. According to the indictment, the painting was stolen from the museum in Poznan the Nazis in 1943, and in 1945 moved to the Soviet Union.
According to Judge Jed Rakoff, there was no evidence presented that Khochinsky knew that buying stolen Polish paintings.
