Christians celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar – BBC Russian
Christmas is celebrated on Thursday the churches that live in the Julian calendar, namely the Christian Eastern churches, Orthodox, Coptic Church of Egypt. The Armenian Church celebrated January 6.
The Christian communities from Europe to the Middle East meet the holiday according to their unique to each of these traditions.
