Artist died in Los Angeles after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, which was diagnosed him in 1992.
The group, founded in 1969, played music in the styles of disco, pop, rock, soul and rhythm and blues. It owns such dance hits as Fantasy, September, Shining Star, Let’s Groove. Musicians repeatedly became winners of music awards Grammy. In 1995, the group received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in 2000 the team was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, US.
