Russian screenwriter, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Vladimir Valutskiy, who wrote the screenplays for the films “Mary Poppins” and “Winter Cherry”, died on Tuesday, April 14 in Moscow at the 79th year of life. It is reported by TASS referring to the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
The date and place of burial are not announced.
Valutskiy has written more than 60 paintings. Among them are “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson,” “Bless the Woman”, “Admiral”, “Seven Brides Zbrueva Corporal.” One of his last works Valutskiy – Alexei Andrianov film “The Spy,” based on the novel by Boris Akunin.
Valutskiy was born September 25, 1936. He studied at the scriptwriting faculty of VGIK (Evgeniy Gabrilovich). The writers left a widow – actress Alla Demidova. Children, the couple was not. They met in 1961, when Valutskiy expelled from the Institute of Cinematography. In 1964 he finally graduated. In 1965 Valutskiy debuted as a screenwriter for the short film “Squadron Commander” with Mikhail Korshunov. From 1990 to 1995 led his own scenario workshop VGIK.
