Chamber Music Theatre of Pokrovsky the world premiere of the opera Alexander Manotskova “Titius Flawless” based on the play by Maxim Kurochkin.
The playwright, in turn, based his bloodiest tragedy of Shakespeare’s “Titus Andronicus” (as calculated Shakespeare Anikst – 14 kills, 34 corpses, three severed hands and their tongues cut out), for which in 2008 won the Grand Prix of the festival “New Drama”. The libretto for an opera prepared by Vladimir Mirzoyev, although when compared with singing Kurotshkina source text, discrepancies will not so much. Except that instead of “margin of the world,” the hero is sent to the home of the playwright – Ukraine, and all the swear words, of which abound in the play, replaced with a more decent – and sorry.

At the center of the story and plays, and operas – the future of humanity. Capturing the universe, people have come to a dead end ekzestentsialny: nothing more to conquer, but anxiety-chief (administrator-killers) somehow increases. In an attempt to understand the mystical sense of leadership decides to turn to art: it was there, they suspect, is hidden the key to the question – who is the main enemy of mankind?
In a utopian world of the future role of savior gets special honors Captain (Zahar Kovalev), whose merits are not so much in the extermination of all beings, smarter toothpicks as the ability to call a floor space shuttle flight attendant from the state suspended animation. He’s the show piece “Titius Flawless”, giving “Shakespeare for such nonsense.”

From the point of view of dramaturgy “Titius’ – a carte blanche for every taste. This drama of the state, and Space Odyssey in a new way, that is – with black humor. Blindly following the laws of Titius (Alexander Colonels), sneaky suburbs (Vitaly Rodin), proud Architect (People’s Artist of Russia Alexei Motchalov) if born with unusual modern Earthlings plasticity, the ability to digest complicated musical score and genetic memory at all difficult to pronounce the title names.

As one of the characters exclaims Kurochkin, “it is impossible to understand this contemporary play” and is close to the truth.
