The mother told the actor that Panin painted since childhood. Friends confirmed that this passion he had always, at least, since meeting him in the early ’90s. In this case, Panin nobody showed these drawings. By his works he treated casually and did not consider them something worthwhile: painted quickly, almost with my eyes closed, and then, as a rule, throw them in the same place where the drawing: in the dressing room, at a table in a cafe. Most of the drawings lost, and those that will be presented at the exhibition, preserved by his wife Natalia, who picked them and collected in a folder. As the producer Gennady Rusin for Panina it was instant portraits of his soul. From the content of the drawings can be assumed that his mental state was far from harmonious …

In his surreal “paintings” are shown being ugly polygonal shape, with excess or, conversely, missing limbs. Some of them seemed amazed severe disease and embody suffering.

In this case, friends and colleagues gathered at the press center, the consensus is that life Panin was a “man-holiday”, cheerful and charming, although it was evident that many had in themselves and often spoke unintelligible, incomprehensible.

“I do not know what to say art experts – said Rusin. – But I think that Andrew was a very talented artist. And there a huge impact in social networks among colleagues and friends. Many compare it with Salvador Dali, and perhaps rightly – can, I love to excessive talking, but nevertheless “.

The festival DOCA will be presented to several exhibition spaces dedicated to Panin that, as the organizers, “to create emotional space around the picture.” The exhibition will feature 35 paintings Panin, unknown photographs with him, show his performances, and fellow actors talk about how Panin was in life.

The festival takes place on April 18-19 in Moscow.

Direct speech

Igor Artashonov, Actor:

– There are talented actors, but Andrew was an artist, he intersperses the image, in the role of always think of something, rather than just reading text, as now many do. He was a romantic. Mumbled something to himself, in his life often was impossible to understand, but to watch him was very interesting. He was a bright, smiling, joking on himself, on the other, but the fact that he painted, – for me it was a revelation. Sometimes I notice that he’s picking something on a piece of paper on the programs. And this is what “dokovyryalsya”.
