The conflict in Ukraine has become one of the telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart. As the press service of the Kremlin, Obama himself has called the Russian president. Vladimir Putin stressed that Kiev should be strictly and fully implement their commitments, including the establishment of a direct dialogue with the Donbas, agreement with the upcoming changes to the Constitution, local elections and the entry into force of the law on the special status and amnesty.
They also discussed the situation on the Korean peninsula – the two leaders said that if confirmed the information about the North Korean test of a hydrogen bomb, it would be a flagrant violation of UN Security Council resolutions, and will require tough international response.
Another topic of conversation – Syria. Putin and Obama supported the idea of holding talks with representatives of the Government of the Arab Republic and the opposition delegation.
