Drummer DDT and “Siskin & Co” Igor Dotsenko died in ’61 – NEWSru.com

Ex Drummer rock band DDT, and later also plays with “Siskin & amp; Co”, Igor Dotsenko died at 61 after a long illness, according to TASS referring to the St. Petersburg musician Alexis cherries.

“He was sick for a long time. In 2013, admitted to the hospital in Moscow”, – said Cherry.

He did not specify exactly where the drummer died. Date and place of burial is also not yet known.

Igor D. Dotsenko was born July 16, 1953 in the town of Izyaslav Khmelnitsky region. He learned to play the drums and with fifteen years of experience on the professional stage.

He has performed and recorded with many popular pop artists of the 1970s. In 1982, working as part of VIA “Blue Bird”, moved to Leningrad, where he lived until his last days.

In 1986, as the producer released the album St. Petersburg group “Knockout” and that autumn was invited to present the legendary group “DDT” by Yuri Shevchuk. Also participated in the release of the band’s albums “Nautilus Pompilius” and “Shiva” and performers Yuri Morozov, Alexander and Vadim Liapina Kurileva.

In June 2010, Igor Dotsenko announced his departure from the group, having worked in the “DDT” twenty-four years, and in the autumn of the same year resumed musical career in the band “Siskin & amp; Co”.
