“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.” And the whole movie a little – Arguments and Facts

It’s time to say goodbye to the fantasies Peter Jackson based on works by J. R. R. Tolkien . December 11 in the Russian rolling out “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” – the finale of the trilogy, which binds together all parts of the epic of Middle-earth.

Several months have passed since the venerable Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) left his cozy burrow and set out for an adventure. By the third film detachment of thirteen dwarves and one hobbit fortunate reached the goal – the treasures of Erebor again in the hands of its rightful owner, the king of gnomes Thorin (Richard Armitage) . However, just about everything in Middle-earth against such a scenario: the hordes of orcs, elves army and the army of the survivors of the Lake District are nominated to the Lonely Mountain to put in place bold gnomes. Coming great battle, in which former enemies must put aside their feuds and unite in a terrible threat. Darkness is back, and no wise Gandalf (Ian McKellen) , or a little peacemaker Bilbo can not stop her.

From the first frame Jackson immerses the viewer into the epicenter of events – a terrible dragon Smaug flying administer retribution on the Lake residents of the city. Vile orcs are ready for battle, their army support new unseen beings. 3D-format immersive designed specifically for such cases – only manage to dodge along with the characters from the crushing blows of the enemy.

The great battle, which in Tolkien’s tale devoted several pages, covers more than a third of screen time. Epic? Scale? Incredible? All epithets pale before the spectacle of battle scenes. Peter Jackson traditionally pays special attention to detail: all the characters have their own reasons to participate in the battle, and each of them deserves a separate movie. Bilbo Baggins not the best warrior in the world, but he is willing to be smart to protect friends. King of the Dwarves of Thorin blinded by glitter of gold, but the dragon greed eventually gives way to the laws of honor. Archer Bard (Luke Evans) is responsible for its people and not hungry for a new war – right, would be enough and the dragon. Beautiful Legolas (Orlando Bloom) goes against the wishes of his father, accompanying a dangerous campaign elf Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) . During the battle, the blond elf Traditionally, violates all the l aws of gravity and shows miracles balancing act, being on the verge of death. Elven Queen Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) – the only one who can save Gandalf from death, but what price she would have to pay for it?

Many copies of broken about how far Peter Jackson went from the original source. The fact remains that his films are about Middle-earth are separate works. Witty jokes and new characters “The Hobbit”, such as Tauriel, add new colors to the history, but the artificial dialogues (especially love) just to Tolkien plunged into despair. Fortunately, no time to deal with Jackson’s long digressions – war five armies can not wait.

The first part of the story of The Hobbit was released in 2012, a year later, Jackson released the second film. Take all three pictures were taken at the same time and 266 days. To create the world of Middle-screen team spent more than $ 700 million, and this is excluding the cost of special effects “Battle of Five Armies.” Years of work on the adaptation of Tolkien took a special place in the life and career of not only Jackson, but also actors. After completing the filming of Richard Armitage took it Orcrist sword, sir Ian McKellen has kept the famous pointy hat Gandalf, and Martin Freeman – Sword of Bilbo and overhead ears. Bilbo himself as a souvenir from the Dwarf campaign remains one ring, which, as we know, has played a further role in the history of Middle-earth.
