Mikhalkov Russian Oscar committee is grateful for the valued work – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, September 22 – RIA Novosti. Director Nikita Mikhalkov thanked the Russian Oscar committee, put forward his film “Sunstroke” for an Academy Award for “understanding labor invested”

It was reported earlier that the film “Sunstroke” proposed by the Russian Oscar committee for the award “Oscar” in the category “Best Foreign Language Film.”

“Among the contenders were worthy of the movies, if we talk about our picture, the pleasure that have an understanding of labor invested,” – said Mikhalkov, the TV channel “Russia 24″.

Members of the Oscar Council, chaired by actor and director Vladimir Menshov selected from 60 local paintings, which were released from October 2014 to September 2015.

Earlier, among the contenders for the nomination, in addition to “Sunstroke”, called such films as “Arventur” Irina Evteyeva, “Fool,” Dmitry Bykov and “Batalon” Dmitry Meshieva, “The Battle of Sebastopol,” Sergei Mokritskiy “Orleans” Andrew Proshkina, “Under the electric clouds” by Alexey German Jr.

Last year, the award “Oscar” was nominated film Zvyagintsev’s “Leviathan”, he was among the nominees, but yielded the palm of the Polish film “Ida” directed by Pavel Pawlikowski.
