The festival “Contemporary Art in Traditional Museum” is held in the cultural capital in 2000. For 15 years, it participated by artists from 11 countries, implemented 170 projects involved 70 museums in St. Petersburg. In 2006, the festival has become a nominee of the All-Russian Award “Innovation”. Draft prepared foundation “Pro Arte” and the Northwest Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA). Since 2015 the festival oversees Alice Prudnikov, director of the Ural Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts, a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
