Ministry of Culture: a branch of the State Hermitage Museum will be in Kaluga – RSUTE

The State Hermitage Museum continues to push the boundaries. It already has branches in Kazan and Vyborg. Soon to open in Omsk and Vladivostok. Today, the Hermitage director Mikhail Piotrovsky has signed a memorandum of intent to create a trade fair center in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts.

The date of the first exhibition, which is organized in Kaluga Hermitage, Mikhail Piotrovsky called has not yet decided, because first, he said, it is necessary to form a center infrastructure. The event was attended by Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medina . He commented on the situation with the abolition of the State Guard largest national museums. The head of the Ministry of Culture assured that his ministry and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will come to a compromise on this issue. Also in the meeting, a document was signed, which provides for the intensification of the Kaluga branch of the study of the historical past of the state.
