Media: Eiffel Tower reopened to visitors in Paris – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, November 16 – RIA Novosti. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and other cultural and tourist sites reopened to the public after the terrorist attacks in the French capital, television channel NBC News.

Earlier it was reported that one of the largest art museums in the world – the Louvre – was closed temporarily in connection with recent attacks, which have claimed 129 people. Similar measures were taken by the administrations of other cultural and historical attractions of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Disneyland Paris, the Museum of the Chateau de Versailles. Also, the concerts on Saturday canceled the Paris Opera and the Philharmonic.

Museums and other historical buildings opened at 13.00 local time (15.00 MSK) after a nationwide minute of silence. The Eiffel Tower was closed to visitors for much longer – the tourists had to wait for several hours at the entrance. Shouts of approval and applause rang out when the tower opened at about 15.30 (17.30 MSK). Tower lit colors of the French flag – red, white and blue.

Despite the fact that the visitors allowed into the building, the site of the Eiffel Tower is not renewed and continues to warn that “the entrance is closed,” the TV channel.

On Friday evening in Paris, a series of terrorist attacks. Unknown persons opened fire at a restaurant, three explosions sounded in the vicinity of the stadium “Stade de France”, where he was a friendly game of football teams of France and Germany, which was attended by French President Francois Hollande.
