MOSCOW, November 2 – RIA Novosti. Ukraine in October 2015 imported 1.984 billion cubic meters of Russian gas, according to operational data “Ukrtransgaz”.
Based on the price of Russian gas for Ukraine in the fourth quarter (after discounts) in the 227.36 dollar per thousand cubic meters, “Naftogaz” could pay to “Gazprom” for the amount of 451.308 million dollars.
Currently, the “Gazprom” and “Naftogaz Ukraine” interact within the winter gas package (initialed by Ukraine, Russia and the EC 25 September), as well as on the basis of a supplementary agreement to a long-term contract. The Additional Agreement stipulated the possibility of selection by Ukraine of Russian gas to the maximum daily volume of up to 114 million cubic meters per day.
“Naftogaz” resumed purchases of gas from “Gazprom” on October 12. According to “Ukrtransgaz”, the average gas imports from Russia during the period 12-31 October 2015 amounted to 99.249 million cubic meters per day. At the same time, the highest daily imports was recorded October 24 – the day Ukraine adopted 119.198 million cubic meters of gas from Russia. After that, deliveries began to fall sharply, and for 31 October, they fell back to the level of 40.792 million cubic meters.
On Thursday, 29th October, it was known that “Naftogaz” in October, total transferred to “Gazprom” 518 million dollars, an advance payment for gas. The gap between the amount paid and already selected in October of 66.692 million dollars. This amount is enough for about 293 million cubic meters of Russian gas.
The head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller said on Monday that the volume of funds transferred, “Naftogaz” as an advance payment for gas to “Gazprom”, enough for five days Ukrainian side since the beginning of November, almost three times reduced consumption of Russian gas. Absolute figures head of the concern has not led.
