Representatives of the American film Institute (AFI) named the best TV series 2016. The jury consists of film critics, AFI, scientists from prestigious universities, and the Trustees of the Institute. The award ceremony will be held on 6 January 2017, according to the website of AFI.
the ten best TV shows of the year by the representatives of the American film Institute included “Game of thrones”, “Very strange things”, “One night”, “Vice-President”, “the People vs. O. J. Simpson: American crime story”, “American”, “Atlanta”, “Crown”, “we” and “Better call Saul.”
in addition, representatives of the AFI called the best films of the year. In this list were:
- a”Fence” Denzel Washington;
- “For reasons of conscience” by Mel Gibson;
- “the Silence” by Martin Scorsese;
- “the Miracle on the Hudson” by Clint Eastwood;
- “at Any price” by David Mackenzie;
- “Manchester by the sea Kenneth Lonergan;
- “Zeropolis” (cartoon);
- “La La land” Damien Chazelle;
- Moonlight Barry Jenkins.
Earlier it was reported that a list of the best films of the year published by the Council of film critics USA, and the magazine Business Insider – the rating of the worst paintings of 2016.
