Lemmy Kilmister, the leader and founder of the British rock band Motorhead, died suddenly at age 70 .

According to his family, the musician died after a short struggle with an extremely aggressive form of cancer.

On the official website of the group in the “Facebook” states that the disease is detected at Lemmy only 26 of December.

“Our noble and mighty friend left after a short battle with a very serious form of cancer … We can not express our shock and our grief, no words,” – said in a statement the group.

Ian Kilmister, who took the stage name Lemmy, who was born in Barsleme, Staffordshire, in 1945.

In 1975, he formed the band Motorhead. By 2015 Lemmy was the only musician of her first composition.
