UN 19 December – RIA Novosti. Today’s UN Security Council resolution on Syria opens the possibility of creating a common front against terrorism, said on Saturday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

United Nations Security Council approved on Saturday the Geneva Communique and Viennese statements as a basis for a political transition in Syria .

“Today’s unanimous vote in the Council (UN Security Council) should pave the way for the formation of a broad front against terrorism on the basis of the UN Charter with the support of all, who on earth is opposed to terrorism, including the army of Syria, the Kurdish militia, the armed forces Syrian patriotic opposition.
