Syrian opposition skeptical reacted to the UN Security Council resolution in support of the International Plan a political settlement in the country.

The plan envisages talks between the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the opposition and the early truce – perhaps as early as January 2016.

The driving force of the Syrian opposition – the National Coalition, based in Istanbul (Turkey) – considers the plan unworkable because it says nothing about the fate of Assad’s resignation that the opposition sees as the main condition for the peace talks.

The head of the coalition Khaled Khoja tweeted that adopted UN document invalidates the results of all previous negotiations opposition groups and nullifies the previous UN resolution on Syria.

Partner Hoxha coalition Samir Nashar said that in order to achieve acceptable truce Syrian government and Russia should stop the strikes on the positions rebels.
United States and its Arab allies are convinced that Assad must resign as president of Syria, while the main allies of Damascus, Russia and Iran insist on its participation in the political process.

The adopted Friday by the Security Council resolution does not contain any specific proposals on the issue.
