MOSCOW, December 25 – RIA Novosti. The winner of the popular music show “The Voice” in the Russian First Channel was the monk Photius, it was announced in a live TV channel.
In the final of the show came Mikhail Ozerov, Olga Zadonskaya, Dawn Cannes and monk Photius. The winner of the project determined the viewers voting on the air on Friday.
Mentors participating in this season became the singer Grigori Leps, rap artist Vasily Vakulenko (Basta), silver winner of the contest “Eurovision-2015″ Polina Gagarina and musician Alexander Gradsky.
The main producer of music and entertainment programs Channel One Yuri Aksyuta presented to the winner statue and the keys to the car Lada XRAY.
“Today, we have received more than 940,000 phone calls and SMS messages, all the money received by coming to the fund for charitable purposes,” – added Aksyuta.

For the first time vocal TV show “The Voice” was launched in the First Channel in October 2012 and immediately became popular among viewers. The project is the Russian adaptation of the original format of The Voice, which first appeared in 2010 on the Dutch TV. The Russian aired for three seasons the show.
Motchalov Vitali was born in Nizhny Novgorod in 1987. After high school he enrolled at the music school, but studied had only a year – together with his family he emigrated to Germany, where he learned to play the organ. After 3 years, Vitali returned to Russia and took monastic vows with the name of Photios in Borovsk Nativity of the Virgin St. Pafnutevskom monastery in the Kaluga region. Participation in the music competition “The Voice” monk received the blessing of Metropolitan Clement (Kapalin).
