John Lennon’s guitar auctioned for $ 910 thousand. – BBC Russian

Electric Rickenbacker, belonging to one of the founders of the legendary British group The Beatles John Lennon, sold at auction Julien’s Auctions for 910,000 dollars.

According to the report of the American auction house, Lennon first played this guitar for Christmas concerts in 1964, and in 1968 gave it to another member of the group, drummer Ringo Starr.

A total of bids was submitted about 800 items belonging to the family of Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach.

In particular, the drum kit Ludwig Oyster, which played Starr, was sold for 2.2 million dollars.

In May of this year at an auction in the US was sold Guitars in which he played the other party to The Beatles, George Harrison. The buyer paid for the tool just under half a million dollars.
