Ukraine became the winner of “Eurovision-2016″ – Rosbalt.RU

 Ukraine took the first place at the “Eurovision” contest, which was held this year in Sweden. Second place went to singer from Australia.

 Russian singer Sergei Lazarev took the third place. According to the results of voting Lazarev scored 361 points.

 So, by a vote of the jury of the contest, Russia received the highest score from Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Belarus, Greece. A number of countries are not honored Russian artist marks. As a result of this vote Russia ranked fifth, behind Malta, France, Ukraine and Australia, which topped the list.

 Essentially the picture changed after the announcement of the results of the audience voting, which resulted in the Ukrainian singer Jamala pulled into the lead, gaining 534 points. Australia scored 511 points, Russia – 491 points

 Jamal sang the song “1944,” about the deportation of Crimean Tatars.

 Ukraine has already won at this competition. In 2004 Ruslana with her song «Wild dances» took the first place. In addition, the country has traditionally show good results on “Eurovision”. In 2007 and 2008, second place Ukraine brought Verka Serduchka with the song «Dancing Lasha Tumbal” and Ani Lorak to «Shady Lady» song, in 2011, Ukraine was the fourth, in 2013 – the third. Last year, Ukraine was not involved in the competition because of the unstable financial and political situation in the country.
