«The Big Book” was never just hit parade of the best books of the year. In ten years, the largest among similar awards prize money (the winner receives 3 million rubles., Second runner – 1.5 million, and the third – 1 million rubles.), Multiplied by the weight of a symbolic award, made it the highlight of the literary season. Decisions taken by hundreds of members of the Literary Academy, rarely opportunistic or gushing absolutely out of place.
