Government has streamlined the provision of subsidies to the Russian cinema – TVNZ

On Saturday, 11 June, it was reported that Prime Minister Russian Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on the procedure for providing subsidies to support the cinema.

Under the new rules, the funds from the budget will be directed in particular to the reimbursement of expenses associated with the production of children’s, debut, copyright game of national films, non-fiction and animated national films.

it is expected that this will contribute to increase the number of Russian films and their promotion on the world market, as well as strengthening the material-technical base of the film distribution companies, according to the website of the Cabinet.
