He admitted that his first Deputy, Vladimir Aristarkhov made insulting statements towards Raikin at the meeting in the Public chamber in mid-October. This is stated in the message published on the website of the “Satyricon”. There’s also clarifies that the Director of “Satyricon” Anatoly Palankin and the Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky has agreed to further funding of the theatre. The parties brought mutual apologies for being too emotional and agreed on further cooperation in working order, the report said.
Recall that at a meeting of the public chamber on 17 October discussed the closing of the exhibition of photographer Sturges “Without embarrassment” and a number of other projects. During the meeting Konstantin Raikin gave a speech against censorship in art. Previously artistic Director of “Satirikon” also spoke about the threat of closing the theatre due to lack of funds.
