The Nobel Committee stopped trying to get through to Bob Dylan – Росбалт.RU

Representatives of the Nobel prize Committee no longer trying to tell a rock singer Bob Dylan on the award.

“Now we do nothing. I called and sent emails to its nearest representative, and I am very friendly answered. While that is enough,” said the permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy Sara Danius.

She expressed confidence that Dylan will appear at the ceremony and the celebration in his honor will be held in any case, reports The Guardian.

Rockstar remains silent about the award of the Nobel prize in literature since then, as he was selected for the award, 13 Oct 2016. The awards will take place on 10 December in Stockholm (Sweden).

As reported, the 75-year-old musician awarded for “creation of a new poetic expression in the great American song tradition.”

Dylan previously awarded to the “literature-related” award. In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious Pulitzer prize “for outstanding impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of exceptional poetic power.”
