October 8, marks 85 years since the birth of Juliana Semenova — author, screenwriter, essayist, journalist, poet, translator and even a media Manager.

Semyonov (real name — Landres) is familiar to us primarily as the author of action-detective stories and novels: “TASS is authorized to declare…”, “Seventeen moments of spring”, “Major “Vortex+”, “Petrovka, 38″, “Confrontation”, the film adaptation of which became classics of the Soviet cinema and has long been dismantled for quote. However, many of them autobiographical.

As a professional orientalist and the correspondent of the main Soviet Newspapers Semenov, Afghanistan, Spain, Chile, Paraguay, Vietnam, Singapore, USA.
