Known Iranian Director Asghar Farhadi, who directed, nominated for “Oscar” film “the Salesman”, officially announced the cancellation of a trip to the award ceremony of the American Academy. The relevant notice it sent to the Iranian Agency ISNA and the newspaper The New York Times, writes TASS.
“To my deep regret, have to announce that I will not participate in the ceremony. I’m not planning to boycott this event, however, current conditions make my participation impossible. Even if I would be made an exception, given all the “but” and “if” I think this is unacceptable”, — quotes extracts from the statement of the Director of ISNA.
