MOSCOW, January 15 — RIA Novosti. on the Famous Great hall of the Moscow Conservatory sounded for the first time in ten years on the concert by French organist Michel Bouvard, said on Sunday the press service of the Ministry of culture of Russia.

on Sunday sounded from the stage the works of Bach, Liszt and the French composers of the XVII–XX centuries: Couperin, Franck, dupré, Alain and duruflé.

On the famous exhibition in Paris in the early XX century, which presented the first diesel engine, sound cinema, the TRANS-Siberian railway, the authority had received a gold medal and was recognized as one of the best in the world,” said Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky, whose words are reported.

He recalled that the body had not been sounded since 2006, and its restoration took more than two years. “There was even a special international Commission, which monitored every stage of the restoration tools,” he said.

In turn, the rector of the Moscow Conservatory Alexander Sokolov said that “the main objective was to return to the authentic condition of the instrument and its sound.”

“Such bodies in Europe there are not so many and they are different due to repairs lost part of the sound. We can say that today it is Europe’s only on firms “kavajë-Kohl”, which has an authentic sound, as most of the others have undergone significant alterations,” — said Sokolov.

He added that the restoration of the Great hall with a budget of 102 million rubles, and another 80 million was provided by the sponsors.
