“Paradise” Konchalovsky received the “Golden eagle” as best film of the year – Interfax

Moscow. 27 Jan. INTERFAX.RU – the motion Picture “Paradise” by Andrei Konchalovsky was the best film 2016 release award “Golden eagle”, the ceremony was held on Friday in the first pavilion “Mosfilm”.

“many thanks to the members of the Academy, from me personally as the President of another Academy “Nika”. (. . .) Our film is dedicated to Russian immigrants who gave their lives in Paris for the rescue of Jewish children. They became national heroes of France. (. . .) Today is the Day of remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust. I hope that our film in some extent contributed to ensure that this is never forgotten,” – said Konchalovsky.

“15th anniversary award, which sums up the Year of cinema that inspire us, show that the Russian film industry on the right track. It is reborn, creating new movies. Ivan Yankovsky (“the Queen of Spades”) was the best actor, and Julia Vysotskaya (“Paradise”) – best actress.

For the female role of the second plan were awarded Elena Yakovlev (“the best day”), in the men’s category the prize went to Sergey Shakurov (“Crew”).

Best TV movie was the “climate” Karen Hovhannisyan, television series – “the Quiet don” of Sergey Ursulyak, and non-fiction film “blood ivory” Sergei Yastrzhembsky. The animated film “cat and mouse” Natalia chernyshovoy became the first in its category.

For best screenplay was awarded to Yury Arabov (“the Monk and the demon”). The work of Kirill Pletnev, “Mother” became the first in the category “Best short film”.
