“Paradise” by Andrei Konchalovsky has not got to number of nominees on the award “Oscar” – TASS

NEW YORK, MOSCOW, January 24. /Offset. TASS Alexey Kachalin, /. Five foreign films nominated for the American kinopremii “Oscar” this year. The painting “Paradise” by Russian Director Andrei Konchalovsky was not included in the nomination, which was announced the American Academy of motion picture arts. This was announced by the Academy.

“Toni Erdmann” and “the Salesman” this year was nominated for a second prestigious U.S. film award “Golden globe”, but eventually lost to the French film “She” (Elle) with actress Isabelle Huppert in the title role.

the Premiere of “Paradise” took place in September 2016 in the framework of the main competition at the Venice film festival, where Konchalovsky received the “Silver lion” for direction.
