Venetian “Golden Lion” went to the Swedish comedy – BBC Russian

Comedy Swedish director Roy Anderson “The dove perched on a branch, thinking about being” received the “Golden Lion” at the Venice Film Festival.

70-year-old Anderson took a total of four full-length film – a surreal, absurdist comedy about contemporary Swedish life.

At the awards ceremony, he said that inspired by the famous film by Vittorio de Sica’s 1948 “Bicycle Thieves”.

The second most important award – the Grand Jury Prize – went to “look silence” Joshua Oppenheimer.

The American actor Adam Driver won prize for best actor, playing a father who rescues his young son in the film Saverio Costanzo’s “Hungry Heart”.

The Italian Rorvaher Alba, who played in the same film, won the award for Best Actress.
