Hundreds of people came to the opening of the street of the famous writer Sergei Dovlatov in New York, “Ekho Moskvy”.
Index labeled Sergei Dovlatov Way installed at the intersection of 108th Street and 63rd passage near Forest Hills, Queens. Name the street where the writer lived for several years in his honor was made possible after a group of activists filed a petition to the mayor of New York.
Dovlatov emigrated to America in 1978. For over 10 years he has lived in the New York borough of Queens. The writer’s widow Elena Dovlatova and her daughter Kate still live in Queens.
