Moscow theaters continue to open the new season. September 12 – troupe and the opening of the season at the Pushkin Theater, and while the premiere performances were held in “Gogol center” where indicated “Stalker”, and in the capital’s theater, “Lenk”: director Konstantin Bogomolov presented his version of “Boris Godunov”. The opening of the season and the troupe in “Lenkom” was marred by one unpleasant fact – broke his leg on the eve of the artistic director Mark Zakharov. In the meantime, “Lenk” open another premiere; Zakharov has always been sensitive to anything new, but at the same time – and be careful in the invitations. But Konstantin Bogomolov Zakharov invited. Alas, just have to say that the performance Bogomolov will join another, more lengthy list of failures when referring to Pushkin’s masterpiece. Firstly, the decoration “Godunov” too reminiscent of the recent “The Brothers Karamazov” – although, of course, not everyone will notice it, because not all of our audience so closely followed the work of one or another director; fans of the same Bogomolov repetition do not can not be overlooked. And the way the director – too recognizable. Of course, your style does not go away, and Zakharova also can be found on the first 10-15 minutes, but quite another – the repetition of the same reception when classical monologues – whether Dostoevsky or, as now, Pushkin – breaks frisky song hit Stas Mikhailov, or, as in the new play, Glucose. And this installation permeates the whole play: Talk – sang and talked – again sang. Probably so that the audience is not bored, just the director can not believe that Pushkin’s text itself today can at least someone interested.
So, perhaps, talk about the inauguration accompanied Godunov form of travel in Moscow presidential motorcade. As always, Bogomolov, and there is a serious minutes; and then, of course, it is clear that Maria Mironova – today one of the best dramatic actresses Zbruev – he plays Godunov – are still in good shape.
And so – you will not tell, for that matter, and before, what exactly the director wanted to say its a bold version. Either he has something against the government, or, on the contrary, tries to tell her to be sure. And most importantly, every now and then to recall the old anecdote about how Arkady Raikin decided to brush up on your next concert in Odessa, which is the last day before the trick, and the baby out of the room he said: “Uncle Raikin, yesterday Hochma today is not Hochma”.
