The monument is dedicated to the era of the poetic word. The idea of ​​its creation was born after writing Andrei Dementiev a poem dedicated to the five friends of the poet, – Bulat Okudzhava , Andrei Voznesensky , Robert Rozhdestvensky , Yevgeny Yevtushenko , Bela Akhmadullina . Their names are listed on the monument, along with the name Andrew Dementieva , which for many years was the editor of the magazine “Youth”, which published poems of these poets.
