Kaliningrad, October 16 2015, 02:42 – REGNUM October 15 in Kaliningrad began the traditional autumn festival “Days of Literature” . Within 15 days of visitors waiting poetry readings, meetings with readers, performances, visits to libraries and much more. The first event was the flash mob “Reading Esenina” on the steps of the Kaliningrad Regional Drama Theater, open to all fans of the poet. October 16 at the Cathedral will host the opening of the Festival, to be attended by the rector of the Shchukin School, actor Evgeny Knyazev .

The program “Days of literature – 2015»:

• Presentation of the International Journal of Russian writers “Baltika»;
• Music and poetry program “Heirs of the Silver Age” on poems by Anna Akhmatova, Mayakovsky, Tsvetaeva, Alexander Blok and other poets performed by artists of Kaliningrad Regional Drama Theater and the Kaliningrad Oblast Russian Folk Orchestra;
• Spektakel concert of works by Joseph Brodsky “The thin rods Koenigsberg …”, and more.

Also, Kaliningrad and Svetlogorsk as part of the Festival will host a conference “The Nobel Prize in literature in the history of our region.” So were Joseph Brodsky, Thomas Mann, Alexander Solzhenitsyn.

Total Event will involve 50 sites. The list of invited guests – writers from Russia, Latvia, Poland and Belarus.

«Days of Literature” in the Kaliningrad region was first passed in 2001. Since then, they celebrated every year, and today has become an iconic cultural event in the region. The festival has a free format, and includes a wide range of activities to satisfy the most refined literary tastes. Is there a traditional rolling from one year to block projects. The holiday program always includes: Day of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum with the meeting at the monument to Pushkin and equity in educational institutions, Lermontov day that decided to celebrate the birthday of the writer, the Russian-Lithuanian literary meetings with presentations of the best editions of the authors of the two countries, the festival “Gumilevsky Autumn” and traditional recitals – the main event of the festival, where the views created by the literature and direct access to the general reader.
